Plate Magnet

A Plate Magnet, also known as a Magnetic Plate Separator, is a permanent magnetic separator designed to remove ferrous contaminants from dry bulk materials flowing over or near the magnetic surface. It consists of a powerful permanent magnetic assembly enclosed in a stainless steel housing, generating a strong magnetic field that captures iron particles while allowing clean material to continue through the process.

Working Principle

The Plate Magnet is installed where material passes close to its magnetic face, such as beneath a chute, above a conveyor, or inside a housing.

• As the material flows past the magnetic plate, ferrous contaminants are attracted to the magnetic surface.
• Non-magnetic material continues its normal flow.
• Captured metal particles remain attached until the magnet is cleaned during scheduled maintenance.

This process provides continuous magnetic protection without interrupting production.
